The Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur combine to provide travellers with a glimpse into the majesty of northern India, epitomized by the Taj Mahal, the world’s most perfect monument to love and one of the world’s universally admired architectural masterpieces.
An exciting jeep ride in world-famous Ranthambore National Park will add a nature and wildlife dimension to our trip. As a result of the World Wildlife Fund’s conservation efforts, there has been a significant increase in the population of the once endangered Bengal Tiger, and regular sightings now take place.
We will also see the mysterious and erotic temple sculptures at Khajuraho. It is believed that the beautiful temples that dot this town were built by the mighty Chandela rulers in the 9th and 10th centuries. There is much debate about their symbolism and importance.
The sacred city of Varanasi has been the religious capital of India for more than 2,000 years. Built on the banks of the Ganges River, it is the ultimate place of pilgrimage and an important seat of learning. The banks of the Ganges bustle with activity, as throngs of people come for ritual bathing, yoga, and to offer blessings.
Our trip is timed to coincide with the Pushkar Camel Fair. The Pushkar festival is a camel fair that symbolizes the spirit and joyous nature of the people of the state of Rajasthan. It is an unforgettable experience that captures the vibrancy of Rajasthan.
From the metropolis of Delhi we fly to the Kathmandu and the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal. It is said that there is a temple or idol for every soul living in the city, and Kathmandu is a treasure house just waiting to be explored. With its ancient temples, wild-looking holy-men and fascinating melting pot of Indian and Tibetan cultures, Nepal has a magic that touches everyone.
